Experimental investigation of a virtual planar array for MIMO sonar systems

چکیده
In this paper a way to achieve virtual two-dimensional planar array for sonar systems using the multiple input output (MIMO) principle is presented. The time delay information of can be used imaging sonars and allows localization scatterers in three-dimensional space. conventional single (SIMO) sonar, would achieved transmitter receiver consisting N² hydrophones, arranged as rectangular N × matrix. We show through simulations experiments how formed linear array. For this, an experimental MIMO system was constructed with 32-channel 12-channel transmitter, which allowed realization 32 12 design analyzed experiment harbor basin simulations, validating addition investigations, only limited number channels are available, further performed arrangements highlight strengths weaknesses different application areas.
